Electric RV startup Pebble announced today that it has delivered more than 100 Flow travel trailers to customers across the U.S. The milestone comes three years after the company emerged from stealth and one year after Flow customer deliveries began (see Futurride’s latest coverage here). Across the fleet, owners have now traveled more than 250,000 mi (402,000 km) across the country.

“The Pebble Flow started as a bold idea to reimagine a legacy industry,” said Bingrui Yang, Founder and CEO of Pebble. “Three years later, more than 100 customers are experiencing a new way to RV. This milestone reflects the work of our team and the early customers who believed in something new. Every mile our owners travel helps us improve the Flow, and every future customer benefits from what we learn.”

With the Flow, Pebble is aiming to define “a new way to live, work, and explore” with a 100% electric and “hassle-free” RV. The travel trailer introduces a unique mix of advanced technology to the RV industry, combining a fully electric powertrain, automation features, and “seamless” connectivity.

Among the highlights are a Magic Hitch for automated hitching, Easy Tow with Active Tow Assist to optimize energy efficiency and enhance towing dynamics, remote control for maneuvering and parking via the Pebble app, and a 45-kW·h LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery and 1.1-kW solar array allowing for up to seven days of off-grid living.

Pebble has taken inspiration from how software-defined vehicles have reshaped the automotive industry, turning what once was a one-time purchase that aged over time into a product that keeps improving for years after purchase, by applying that same model to RV ownership. The Flow was designed as an integrated hardware and software platform, its connected architecture allowing the company to introduce new features, refine performance, and respond to owner feedback through OTA (over-the-air) updates.

The company is receiving a steady stream of insights from owners using the Flow across different climates, towing conditions, campsites, and travel routines. Those insights are shared directly with its engineering team, creating a continuous cycle of building, learning, updating, and improving.

Based in Silicon Valley, Pebble has direct access to a deep talent pool of operations professionals, from companies such as Tesla and Apple. The RV startup says that high standards, rapid execution, and cross-functional problem-solving that those teams are known for are core to its DNA.

“Our strength as a team is that we are managing hardware and software under one roof,” said Stefan Solyom, CTO of Pebble. “When we encounter issues, we can fix them fast. That is something the RV industry has never experienced before. We’re energized by accelerating manufacturing and getting more customers on the road. The Pebble Flow that our newest customers receive is dramatically improved from the earliest units, and with more OTA updates and deeper AI integration, it will only get better from here.”

Boondocking and surround viewing

With today’s announcement, Pebble is releasing two new features to owners via OTA updates fueled by owner feedback: boondocking mode and surround-view camera viewing.

Off-grid campers, a core segment of Flow customers, have historically had to carefully balance between maximizing comfort and extending battery life. Pebble’s new boondocking-mode menu offers a suite of new features to give owners more intelligent ways to manage power consumption during extended off-grid stays.

Through the Pebble app, owners can set an automatic timer that shuts off lighting, appliances, and outlets to conserve energy. A new energy meter tab shows real-time power consumption by category, solar generation, and other key energy data. An HVAC eco mode reduces energy use by running climate control only when the cabin drifts outside an adjustable comfort range.

The new cameras view makes Flow’s cameras live-streams accessible in the Pebble app on the provided iPad via the Flow’s direct Wi-Fi connection. Owners of our Founders Edition Flow will have access to see all four sides of their trailer, plus a combined view that displays them all at once.

Magic Pack Flow owners will have access to the rear-facing camera view, with the option to unlock additional sides coming later this year. Owners can use the live views to look out for other objects while on the road or monitor their surroundings while parked.

Scout AI assistant

In May, Pebble introduced the Scout AI assistant for Flow owners alongside a new Pebble iPhone app. The company says the new features reinforce its core vision to deliver a hassle-free experience that gets better over time.

Scout provides real-time, contextual guidance to help owners understand, operate, and get the most out of the Flow so they can focus their time on relaxing and exploring. Owners can ask the AI to explain features, walk through setup, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time guidance tailored to their RV.

In addition to answering questions, Scout actively monitors the trailer and relays maintenance information to the owner. The first proactive feature is an automatic email alert when a Flow’s high-voltage battery drops below 10%. This sets the foundation for an expanding roadmap of proactive intelligence, with Pebble promising to add more proactive features and introduce in-app push notifications over time.

Tips and experiences that owners share with Scout are analyzed by AI agents that surface key findings and proposals to the Pebble development team, making it possible to learn from interactions at scale. The most valuable insights are then validated and fed back to the broader owner community, creating a self-improving knowledge base where every owner interaction makes the experience better for everyone.

Acknowledging feedback from owners to have more flexibility in how they control the Flow, owners can now access key controls and status information beyond the onboard iPad control system from their iPhones through the Pebble App. The mobile app connects directly to the RV over a local Bluetooth connection without the need for Internet access.

The iOS app is designed to complement the onboard command center and sets the stage for what comes next. As Scout expands its ability to read live signals, users will receive updates right on their phone, proactively monitoring health and surfacing the right information at the right moment. Cloud connectivity is coming soon, allowing owners to monitor and control their Flow remotely from virtually anywhere.

Delivering and promoting hassle-free travel

Pebble says it is excelling at removing the friction associated with RV ownership. In its latest owner survey, customers rated the Flow 4.6 out of 5.0 for making RV travel feel simpler and 4.8 out of 5.0 for the confidence it provides during towing and campsite setup.

The growing Pebble community also reflects a shift in who is considering RV ownership, with more than 50% of Pebble’s customers self-reported that they have never owned an RV before. For many owners, the Flow has become part of how they live and work, with some owners using it up to four times more often than a typical RV owner who uses a conventional trailer.

To promote even more use and adoption, Pebble recently introduced First Stay, a program that lets prospective buyers book a three-day, two-night Flow experience through the Outdoorsy outdoor travel ecosystem. They can pick up a Flow at Pebble’s Fremont headquarters or request delivery to a driveway or campsite within 35 mi (56 km). Customers who place an order within 60 days of their Outdoorsy trip receive a purchase credit equal to the full nightly rate of their stay.
