Jackery, a leader in home backup and outdoor solar energy storage, has announced a partnership with Pebble, the all-electric travel trailer maker, to deliver custom-built solar panels as part of the new Self-Powered Package for the 2027 Flow, giving Pebble owners another way to add solar power on the road. You can read Futurride‘s latest coverage on the Flow here.
The collaboration between the Fremont, CA-based manufacturers marks Jackery’s first foray into the automotive sector. Jackery started with outdoor energy storage through portable power stations, eventually moving to carve out a global presence in residential power backup. Now it blends the two as it crosses over into mobile energy alongside the Flow.
The two brands aim to jointly define a new category of mobile off-grid energy, advance the RV industry’s upgrade to clean energy systems, and empower travelers with mobility freedom and complete power independence.
“Jackery’s established leadership in portable power backup lays the ideal groundwork for Pebble to continue redefining RV travel around clean energy without compromise,” said Steven Wang, CEO of Jackery Americas. “Enhancing the Pebble Flow’s premium off-grid capabilities with an additional 2kW of solar charging versatility unlocks significant opportunities for modern travelers seeking greater independence and extended adventures. Through this landmark partnership, Jackery is proving that energy self-reliance remains essential and achievable, even when your home is on the road.”
Jackery brings deep technical expertise and an extensive global user base to this new frontier of self-reliance. Through its mission to reimagine the modern RV experience via technology and its groundbreaking work with Jackery, Pebble is turning its vision of “Where Home Meets the Road” into reality.
“We didn’t want to just put two logos on a product,” said Bingrui Yang, CEO and Founder of Pebble. “Jackery has spent years building portable power that people count on, both at home and outdoors. Their solar panels connect straight into Pebble Flow’s own energy system, so travelers get the same steady, easy-to-use power on the road that they have at home. That’s the idea behind Jackery’s ‘Home on the Road, Power on the Go.’”
Both companies share a commitment to clean, quiet power that operates independently of the grid. Pebble’s Flow eliminates the need for propane, generators, and fuel, while Jackery has spent more than a decade bringing portable clean power into everyday use, from outdoor recreation to home backup.
The co-created solution eliminates reliance on the noisy, carbon-emitting fuel generators and propane tanks historically tied to RV life, enabling energy self-sufficiency through clean, quiet solar power. No longer tied to fixed campground power infrastructure or crowded RV parks, users can choose remote destinations and manage their own electricity needs, unlocking an infinitely more flexible and sustainable off-grid lifestyle.
Jackery developed the turnkey Self-Powered Package to integrate into Pebble’s ecosystem. The setup includes four high-efficiency 500-W solar panels, four 3-m solar extension cables, and a four-in-one solar connection junction. When parked and deployed, the system delivers about 2 kW of additional solar input.
The panels connect directly to the Flow’s all-electric microgrid, which pairs a 45-kW·h LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery with up to 4 kW of combined solar input and up to 12 kW of power exported to a home, another RV, or an electric tow vehicle. With the panels deployed, the Flow can generate more energy than a typical day consumes, air conditioning included, extending off-grid stays and opening up more remote destinations without sacrificing comfort.
Orders for the 2027 Pebble Flow, including the Self-Powered Package, opened yesterday on pebblelife.com. The Self-Powered Package is a $4000 upgrade for the Founders Edition. Integrated Solar is $5000, with the Self-Powered Package an additional $4000, totaling $9000 for the complete Magic Pack. Self-Powered Package hardware is expected to begin shipping in December 2026.
For the Flow, Pebble took its inspiration from how software-defined vehicles have reshaped the automotive industry, turning what once was a one-time purchase that aged over time into a product that keeps improving for years after purchase, by applying that same model to RV ownership. The travel trailer was designed as an integrated hardware and software platform, its connected architecture allowing the company to introduce new features, refine performance, and respond to owner feedback through OTA (over-the-air) updates.
Among the highlights are a Magic Hitch for automated hitching, Easy Tow with Active Tow Assist to optimize energy efficiency and enhance towing dynamics, and remote control for maneuvering and parking via the Pebble app.
Jackery was founded in 2012 in California by a former Apple engineer and initially specialized in mobile battery chargers before pioneering portable power stations in 2016. The company now makes a range of power stations like the HomePower and Explorer ranges.
The best-selling HomePower 3600 Plus delivers 3600 W of rated output (surging to 7200W) and 3584 W·h of capacity, expandable up to 21 kW·h for multi-room coverage. Its LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery is rated at 6000 cycles, good for up to 16 years of reliable power, and setup is as simple as plugging in. Built-in wheels and a pull handle make it an easy-to-move unit.
The Explorer 1000 V2 is for households just getting started with backup power, being a consumer’s first step into home backup or for camping, tailgates, and van life. At just under 24 lb (11 kg), it’s easy to carry. It delivers 1070-W·h capacity and 1500-W output, enough to keep a fridge, laptop, and lights on, plus UPS switching so home work can be continuous. Rechargeable in as little as an hour and built on LiFePO4 cells rated for 4000+ cycles, it’s designed for 10+ years of use.
