Lynk & Co unveiled its first‑ever GT (gran turismo) concept car at the 2026 Auto China (Beijing Auto Show). Called Time to Shine, the two‑door is both a tribute and a statement of intent, marking a major milestone for the brand as it celebrates its 10th anniversary, bringing together a decade of design evolution, motorsport experience, and performance ambition—and reflecting how the brand is “shaping its next chapter.”

“As Lynk & Co marks ten years as a brand, this concept brings together many of the ideas that have shaped our DNA over the past decade,” Nicolas Lopez Appelgren, Chief Executive Officer at Lynk & Co, wrote on LinkedIn. “The GT concept explores what a modern performance car can be when excess is removed and intent is clear. From its proportions and aerodynamics to the physical “+” button, the car is designed around focus, control, and the driving experience.”

The Time to Shine reflects Lynk & Co’s performance heritage, built over a decade that has seen the brand grow a global community of more than 1.76 million users and secure nine championships across seven seasons in top‑tier touring car racing.

The concept features rear‑wheel drive, a 2+2 layout, track‑inspired chassis DNA, and advanced vehicle motion control supported by an AI‑powered digital chassis. It is 4780 mm (18.2 in) long, 2000 mm (78.7 in) wide, and 1330 mm (52.4 in) tall, on a 2750-mm (108.3-in) wheelbase. Performance figures include 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration in just 2 s, with sustained high-power delivery.

The company describes the exterior is defined by “classic wide‑body GT proportions” and the idea of being sculpted by light, with a halo‑like reflection flowing across the bodyside and surfaces that shift and change depending on perspective and movement. Finished in Apex Blue, a liquid‑metal paint with “exceptional depth,” the design highlights sharp transitions and aerodynamics, while Spark Yellow accents referencing Lynk & Co’s “racing DNA.”

Inside, the concept blends warmth with performance focus. The interior was conceived as an open and generous 2+2 space that is comfortable yet centered around a driver‑focused core. Its White Digital Shimmer leather creates a light atmosphere, contrasted with technical details that emphasize its sportiness. Behind the seats, hand‑inlaid Textreme 360 carbon fiber is meant to “shimmer like starlight.”

A defining feature of the concept is the physical Spark Yellow “+” button on the center console, an evolution of Lynk & Co’s signature performance symbol. When activated, the car enters performance mode. The suspension lowers by 15 mm (0.6 in), aerodynamic elements extend at the front and rear, lengthening the car by 100 mm (3.9 in), and a rear wing deploys. The elements work as an integrated system to improve airflow, increase downforce, and enhance stability at higher speeds. In addition, the instrument panel and three digital screens fold away, removing non-essential information and allowing the driver to focus fully on the road.

The project was led by the Swedish Lynk & Co Design team, with joint development across Europe and China reflecting the brand’s global identity and Scandinavian design roots.

“It reflects our design roots and our belief that passion for the driving experience still matters,” said Appelgren. “A big thank you to [President of Lynk & Co Design] Stefan Rosén and the Lynk & Co Design team in Gothenburg! You’ve built an incredibly strong design foundation for this brand and have just raised the bar, setting an exciting direction for what comes next!”

The company will use feedback from the public and its community to help shape any future decisions regarding powertrain options and potential production.

Established in 2016 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lynk & Co offers a range of electrified cars, from the long-range plug-in hybrid 08, to the fully electric 02 and the plug-in hybrid 01.

In March, Volvo Cars and Geely Auto signed an MoU for a new commercial partnership in which Volvo Cars will manage Lynk & Co’s commercial and brand operations in Europe as well as the sale of Lynk & Co cars through retailers and its sales and servicing system in relevant European markets. By leveraging Volvo Cars’ central commercial operations and mature dealer network, Lynk & Co Europe is expected to achieve faster scalability capable of supporting higher volumes.

Lynk & Co will continue to design, develop, and certify its global product portfolio as part of the Geely Auto Group.
