Cadillac today revealed its 2026 Lyriq-V, its first all-electric V-Series vehicle, which blends greater performance with range-topping craftsmanship and technology.

The SUV’s AWD provides an estimated 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of 3.3 s—based on Initial Vehicle Movement measurements in driver-selectable Velocity Max mode, making it the quickest Cadillac ever. The performance is enabled by permanent-magnet, bar-wound motors producing a Cadillac-estimated 459 kW and 650 lb·ft (880 N·m), with final drive ratios of 11.59:1 front and 11.63:1 rear.

“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said John Roth, Vice President for Global Cadillac.

Cadillac says the Lyriq-V delivers a unique expression of its signature isolated precision for a quiet, smooth, and effortless experience with a strong connection to the road. Standard continuous damping control with adaptive valve-based damper technology, a lowered five-link front and rear independent suspension, and a quicker steering ratio provide “comfortable yet spirited” ride and handling. Brembo performance front brake calipers are standard, with available red calipers accented with the V-Series logo.

“With the combination of its rigid body structure and lower center of gravity, our team was able to improve the suspension to achieve the right level of precision and isolation, adding to its outstanding canyon-carving abilities,” said Dave Stutzman, Lyriq-V Chief Engineer.

Competitive Mode enables a suite of traction management features specifically engineered to increase vehicle agility. V-Mode customization allows drivers to have instant access to their preferred performance-driving settings via the V button mounted on the steering wheel or from the Drive Mode app in the 33-in LED display. Interior and exterior signature sounds can be synchronized for an orchestrated sonic experience. Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology (with three years of OnStar connected service) is standard.

As with other V-Series models, the Lyriq-V is identifiable by special styling touches, in this case by unique lower front fascia, chin spoiler, V-pattern mesh on the front lower grille; side rockers; body-colored lower trim; and available carbon-fiber accents. The V-Series logo is on the rear doors and the tailgate. Unique 22-in wheels with a dark finish and an etched V-Series logo come with standard 275/40R-22 self-sealing summer or available all-season tires. The Lyriq-V will come standard with a black painted roof, and an exclusive Magnus Metal Frost limited color option will be available after launch.

The SUV’s battery pack using lithium-ion NCMA (nickel, cobalt, manganese, aluminum) cathode, blended-graphite anode chemistry provides 102 kW·h of usable energy. This enables a Cadillac-estimated 285 mi (459 km) range based on development testing and/or analytical projection consistent with SAE J1634 revision 2017 – MCT, though an EPA estimate is not yet available.

The maximum range additions per hour of charge time at 240 V come in at 19 mi for 7.7 kW AC, 27 mi for 11.5 kW AC, and 44 mi for 19.2 kW AC. DC fast charging adds up to 75 mi in about 10 min and from a “low state” to 80% in about 41 min.

Key features shared with other Lyriqs include a panoramic fixed glass roof, a 23-speaker AKG Acoustics Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos, a 33-in-diagonal advanced LED display with 9K resolution, and Google built-in compatibility to control, connect, and access live traffic, podcasts, apps, and smart-home integration.

The Lyriq-V will launch with a dual-plane augmented-reality head-up display that overlays real-time information, such as navigational and directional cues, over surrounding scenes using real-time color graphics.

In addition, the SUV also gets a unique steering wheel with the V-Series logo, a V-Mode button, a sport rim with sculpted hand grips, and an aluminum Regen On Demand paddle. Other unique interior details include power-adjustable bolsters for the front seat backs and cushions, an infotainment experience updated with V-Series options, and V-Series illuminated sill plates. Craftsmanship is enhanced with standard “paperwood décor,” available Nappa leather seating, and available embroidery and V-pattern detailing on the seatbacks.

The 197.0 in (5004 mm) long, 86.9 in (2207 mm) wide with mirrors, and 64.3 in (1634 mm) tall SUV with 121.8-in (3094-mm) wheelbase has a hefty base mass of 5980 lb (2713 kg). Interior volumes for passengers are 105.1 ft³ (2976 L) for passengers and for cargo volume 28.0 ft³ (793 L) behind the rear seat and 60.8 ft³ (1722 L) with rear seatbacks folded. Trailering capacity is 3500 lb.

Production starts in early 2025 at General Motors’ Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price starts at $79,990, and it will be sold in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as other global markets to be announced later.
