Pebble today revealed at CES 2025 the production-intent design of Flow, its flagship all-electric travel trailer combining advanced technology with user-centered design. The Fremont, CA-based startup is aiming to define “a new way to live, work, and explore” with a 100% electric and “hassle-free” RV built by a team of experts formerly from Apple, Tesla, Rivian, and Zoox.
Over the past year, developers have put the Flow through rigorous engineering development and real-world testing to ensure quality, while incorporating refinements driven by feedback from RV enthusiasts, preorder holders, and “the Pebble Community.” The company believes the resulting production-intent vehicle “is set to elevate the RV experience for all.”
“From the initial concept to our first prototype and now the fully realized product, we have poured our passion and expertise into every stage of its creation,” said Bingrui Yang, Founder and CEO of Pebble. “This process has been about addressing the real challenges RVers face while incorporating thoughtful design and cutting-edge features. This product embodies the creativity of the Pebble team, and we can’t wait to see it on the road soon.”
Production will begin in early 2025 and the first deliveries will be available in spring 2025.
Among the core features of the Flow is all-electric power. A 45-kW·h LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery and 1.1-kW solar array support off-grid adventures for up to seven days, recharging continuously from solar power or periodically through regenerative braking. The system can also act as a backup power source at home or as an EV charging source.
A dual-motor electric-drive system assists towing whether using a traditional ICE or electric vehicle, reducing strain and maximizing range to “eliminate range anxiety, especially with EVs.”
Onboard intelligence is aided by an Nvidia Drive Orin processor, offering advanced AI capabilities and computing power for perception, planning, and control. This system supports over-the-air updates and delivers a connected user experience.
A remote control enables navigating and parking of the Flow using the Pebble App for precise maneuvering even in tight spaces for a stress-free setup. Advanced automation is provided by Magic Hitch, for automatic hitching of the trailer to the tow vehicle with the push of a button, and InstaCamp, a feature that deploys or retracts the stairs, stabilizers, and all-terrain levelers.
The Flow’s flexible living area is said to easily transition from a workspace to a bedroom with a queen-sized Murphy bed. The convertible dinette table quickly transforms into a full bed to “comfortably” accommodate two additional sleepers.
The Chef’s Kitchen includes a removable induction cooktop, 4-in-1 convection microwave, full-sized refrigerator, and flip-up window for outdoor meal prep. The skylight and rear-opening windows bring in natural light and fresh air.
The production-intent Flow was refined by a “dedicated community” of over 3000 members of digital nomads, young families, retirees, and tech enthusiasts working closely with Pebble’s design and engineering teams to identify key opportunities for improvement. Their insights helped refine critical elements to enhance safety, durability, and ease of use.
“Our team has worked incredibly hard to make these improvements to the design of our Pebble Flow, and this won’t be all,” said Stefan Solyom, Chief Technology Officer at Pebble. “We’ve intentionally made the Pebble Flow a software-defined vehicle. This allows us to implement new features and updates seamlessly through over-the-air updates. We’ll be able to surprise and delight users for years to come.”
Among the enhancements was interior optimization, with Pebble making various design adjustments to improve ease of use. They include redesigning the cabinets to flip up rather than down for ease of access, adding side and rear windows that flip open for better airflow, a bigger door to accommodate taller customers, increased storage with better utilization, and an added huge skylight window for an even more open and airy dinette.
The exterior now features integrated taillamps, enhanced aerodynamics, and a more streamlined appearance. Ground clearance was improved without sacrificing aerodynamic performance. The pass-through tunnel is larger, and optional all-terrain levelers were introduced. A hitch receiver was added to accommodate accessories such as bike racks. An integrated motorized awning plus four cameras were added to the front, rear, and sides to provide full visual coverage for easier maneuvering and safety on the road.
The re-engineered powertrain features new hardware, including two powerful electric motors and a redesigned all-terrain caster wheel, and integrated software, the updates making the Remote Control and Magic Hitch possible.
The Pebble Flow starts at $109,500, with an upgrade option to the Magic Pack for $135,500, which adds a dual-motor drivetrain and advanced automation features like Active Tow Assist, Magic Hitch, and enhanced Remote Control. The exclusive Founders Edition, fully loaded with options and upgrades, plus the opportunity to select a limited-edition color, comes in at $175,000.
