Scottsdale, AZ-based immersive design software company Spatial today announced the launch of Analogue, what it says is the first collaborative 3D immersive experience platform on the Apple Vision Pro spatial-reality headset. It allows design teams to collaborate directly in real-time immersive settings in workflows that the company says were previously fraught with design challenges, silos of internal and external teams, and compatibility roadblocks.

“Analogue provides a glimpse into the collaborative power of native design tools for modern spatial computing workflows,” said Calin Pacurariu, Co-Founder & CEO at Spatial. “Combined with Analogue Designer, we aim to radically reduce the time and cost associated with designing and deploying full-fidelity 3D experiences for enterprise design teams and their partners around the world.”

Spatial was founded in 2017 to reimagine how teams design, interact, and solve problems by unlocking the power of spatial computing to leverage immersive technology. Frustrated with the limitations of traditional tools, the company set out to deliver an intuitive, immersive solution that redefined collaboration and accelerated innovation.

The company’s roots are in developing real-time spatial audio for software-defined vehicles that positions 3D audio precisely and accurately to enhance driver safety using spatial audio cues. What began as an experiment in spatial audio has evolved into a platform that enables teams across industries to create, share, and experience 3D environments in real-time.

Design teams can use Analogue to quickly visualize ideas in full 3D context and immersion, collaborate securely from anywhere across local design teams or distributed around the world, prototype designs without coding to accelerate development, and view instantly on Apple Vision Pro for full-fidelity interactive experiences.

For the Analogue launch, Spatial included a series of scenes highlighting design inspirations as examples in core business design verticals, with use cases in retail/pop-up design, interior design/architecture, and automotive design. In that last example, it can accelerate workflows with virtual reviews and enable seamless collaboration with team members and partners across the globe as if they’re all seated together in the vehicle cabin.

Launch features of Analogue include Real-time Collaboration, which enables review of designs in real-time and face-to-face collaboration, no matter where teams or clients are located, with native SharePlay capabilities during a FaceTime call for high-fidelity shared design experiences. Vantage Points allows teams to create and navigate through various design viewpoints, reviewing every detail from every angle. Asset Variants provides quick testing of different versions of the same asset to experience real-time A/B comparisons.

Spatial is working with leading design teams in refining Analogue’s immersive viewer experiences. In parallel, the company is building Analogue Designer, which is slated to launch in early 2025. The latter is a native 3D design tool built on modern spatial computing standards. With both, the company aims to radically accelerate traditional creative workflows for teams around the world.

Native support for OpenUSD allows Analogue Designer to integrate into previously cumbersome 3D workflows and dramatically accelerate design reviews by dropping proprietary roadblocks. OpenUSD is gaining rapid support through the 3D industry starting with support by founding members Pixar, Apple, Nvidia, Adobe, and Autodesk. Spatial was an early member of the Alliance for OpenUSD since its founding in 2023.

Spatial Analogue can be downloaded on the visionOS App Store. Design teams can request early access to Analogue Designer at spatialinc.com/analogue.
