Automobili Pininfarina is showcasing the first car from its Wayne Enterprises Experience collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and Relevance International when the custom B95 Gotham gets its world debut at this year’s Monterey Car Week. The collaboration arrives as Warner Bros. Discovery celebrates 85 years of Batman in 2024.

The physical world premiere in Monterey follows the car’s virtual debut in April when the launch of four one-off vehicles was revealed during the partnership announcement. In addition to the B95 Gotham, there are the Battista Gotham, B95 Dark Knight, and Battista Dark Knight. Only one example of each will be produced, guaranteeing exclusivity and collectability for their lucky owners.

The open-topped two-seat Barchetta will be one of two vehicles on the Italian ultra-luxury car maker’s stand at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, in California today. The B95 Gotham is a “one-of-one” creation inspired by the luxury lifestyle of billionaire Bruce Wayne, the civilian persona of DC superhero Batman. While the B95 Gotham going to Monterey is a show car, the first of the four client cars is now being built in Cambiano, Italy.

“The B95 Gotham exemplifies how we bring our brand promise of ‘Dream Cars, Made Real’ to life for our clients,” said Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina. “We place them at the center of everything we do, and delivering bespoke and coach-built cars like this one is all driven by our vision and commitment to design unforgettable client experiences.”

Like all versions of the B95 Barchetta, the Gotham’s exterior incorporates two electronically adjustable aero screens to deflect air over the open cabin. Wayne Enterprises logos are on the body, chassis plate, and door plates. Unique wheels feature a matt black inner and gloss black outer ring, with Titan calipers and a brushed aluminum anodized black center lock ring.

Inside, the B95 Gotham is upholstered in tan leather that includes custom quilting with complementary tan stitching. The Wayne Enterprises-inspired human-machine interface display features a virtual assistant voice inspired by Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne family’s butler.

“Bruce Wayne’s values—vision, courage, and the relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence—mirror our own,” said Paolo Dellachà, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina. “In the real world, this partnership provides us with a unique platform to reach a broader audience, inspiring a new generation of enthusiasts to appreciate Italian artistry, high-performance engineering, and rich storytelling.”

The B95, which Automobili Pininfarina calls the world’s first pure-electric, open-top hyper Barchetta, debuted last year during Monterey Car Week. The company’s PURA design philosophy, first demonstrated by the recently unveiled PURA Vision concept, has been translated for the B95 with help from Pininfarina SpA.

The “B” in its name stands for Barchetta, and the “95” for the 95th anniversary of Pininfarina SpA, when handcrafting and deliveries of the limited-run car will begin in 2025. Just ten examples will be made, each one “curated” by the Cambiano-based Automobili Pininfarina design team and individual clients, ensuring exclusivity, with no two being the same.

The B95 is powered by the same powertrain as the company’s first car, the Battista hyper GT, but with a unique tune for the new vehicle. Power is delivered via four high-performance electric motors, one driving each wheel.

In total, they generate a peak power of 1400 kW for 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration in less than 2 s and a top speed of more than 300 km/h (186 mph). The T-shaped 120-kW·h lithium-ion battery pack, liquid-cooled and protected by a strong and lightweight carbon-fiber housing, can be charged using DC fast chargers at up to 270 kW for a 20-80% top-up in as little as 25 min.

Five drive modes leverage Full Torque Vectoring technology to enable the driver to tailor power delivery and handling to suit their preference and driving conditions. Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere are activated via a rotary selector next to the steering wheel.

Automobili Pininfarina is based in Munich, Germany, and is led by a team of experienced automotive executives from other luxury and premium car brands. The result of a trademark license agreement between Pininfarina SpA and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the latter owns the company, with Pininfarina having an influential role in supporting design and production capacities.
